THERE ARE P.I. LAWERS THAT PAY ATTENTION AND THOSE WHO DON’T GET PAID

Much of the PFAS contamination research over the past several years has focused on contamination in water supplies. However, more data is rapidly developing related to occupational exposure.

Why are we putting so much focus on occupation exposure cases at our September 22nd – 24th PFAS Summit at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

1. We believe there will be far more occupation exposure cases in the, soon to be sprawling PFAS litigation than any other type.
2. We believe many of these cases will be local and local law firms will be in the best position to sign and handle these cases.

4. Much of the proof needed to support these cases will come from government sources, leaving only proof of a qualifying cancer or other disorder and blood testing for PFAS on individual clients as the only major pieces of the puzzle a firm will need to fill in.

If a factory or other major employer is found to have been dumping PFAS chemicals into a massive water supply sufficient to raise the PFAS levels in that water supply beyond the safe limits for wildlife, what exposure levels are you likely to see in the workers at the facility? These workers were exposed to those same chemicals not diluted by trillions of gallons of water.

Water contamination research leads to identifying the toxic dumper. If the source of the toxic dump is a major employer, then the employees at the facility were likely exposed to far higher levels of PFAS than would ever be possible in a massive water supply.

Some reports are beginning to emerge from specific State agencies identifying specific local industries that have exposed workers. These are excerpts from a report recently produced by the State of New Jersey related to specific industries within that State found to have exposed workers.
